Carrier has updated the design and part number of this humidifier pad. The previous version included a felt layer on the top of the pad to assist with water distribution. The new version no longer includes this felt layer and has a revised construction.

Carrier has confirmed that the updated pad is designed to function properly without the felt layer.

The appearance of the new pad may differ from the previous version, but this is an intentional manufacturer design change and not a product defect.
